Have you ever felt it has been hard to emotionally receive the Father's love? The Father demonstrated His love, and gave up His Son. After the resurrection He sent back the Holy Spirit to shed His love abroad in our new hearts. Why should it be so hard?

I don't confess to have all the answers but for me, it took several years before I could accept His love. I was too afraid to FEEL His compassion. It was one thing for God the Father to love Jesus, He was His son, but why should I be so afraid to receive His love for me? I was His daughter! I think I have figured it out.

God the Father is a person too. He has a mind, a will and emotions. On earth the only father love I had ever experienced was my own father; a man rather distant, too busy, and indifferent. I think he loved me. He never said so. At least he was in the home and provided for the family.

At thirty years old when I came to Christ, I brought with me the same emotional feelings of my heavenly Father that I had experienced with my earthly dad. "He was distant, too busy and indifferent. "I think He loves me?"

One morning when I was in prayer, I had this vision. I saw a baby in the arms of Jesus. As He lifted the baby up before the Father, I heard my name presented before the Throne of Grace, "This is Dorothy Jane ---- I bought her in my blood for You. Receive your daughter Father." Jesus then said to me, "Now go and tell others what you have seen. For every one who I call by name, I do the same." I laid weeping on the floor. I don't know how long. The love of the Father flowed over me. I have never been the same since. Believe and receive the Father's love for you. He is NOT your earthly father. You are a child of God, He is your forever real father, who will never ever forsake you. You can trust His love. It truly is amazing

Have you ever felt sorry for yourself? "The why me syndrome?" I have. It is a horrible bondage, but you don't have to wallow in it any longer. In my wallowing days, I didn't realized that the enemy was feeding me thoughts of resentment, anger, hate, self-justification, and bitterness. and I was believing for each one of them. But the worst of it was I was accusing God of not loving me. Honestly, I didn't even know I had this poison hidden in my heart for years towards my own mother. I was totally blind and covered it up. I was a Christian and aren't Christians suppose to love their mother?

It was about ten years into my faith when all this sickness was revealed in the my heart. I was in bondage to self pity. A dear older sister spotted this attitude and helped me to see that I needed to repent. It was a lie. God did love me. I just had to look at the cross. He found me in my iniquity and with His great compassion picked me up out of the mire, took me to the cross, and I died with Him, was buried and raised with Him clothed in His Righteousness. I never held on to self pity again? It was gone. Consumed in His death.

The Lord enabled me to change my mind toward my mother. God created her and my father to bring me into this world. Who was I to resent her. I had to forgive her. She was the best mother she knew to be and the best mother for me. Within days I was amazed how the Lord had changed my heart. Self pity was my sin and it cost Jesus His life. I had no reason to feel sorry for myself any longer. God does love me and demonstrated it at Calvary.
A world foreign to all that we have known. A world where selfishness, pride, greed, envy , violence, and hatred do not rule but are swallowed up by His almighty love. A love that gives itself away to others. All things have become new.

The addictions and private hells that men and women once faced are dismissed by the power of His Cross. Jesus has been to the depth hell and come out victorious in resurrection power, breaking the bondage of sin. In Him, we are apart of a NEW MANKIND. We have never been before.

Joined to Him, Spirit to spirit, we have been born from above to be part of this NEW KIND OF HUMANITY. The world around us still may HAUNT us, but IN HIM, we have come to the ultimate reality. We are alive for the first time no longer WALKING DEAD MEN SPIRITUALLY SEPARATED FROM OUR CREATOR. Once we inhabited the domain of darkness, but now translated into The Kingdom of His dear Son. Colossians 1:13,14.

This NEW COMPANY of people is made up of men and women who believe that Jesus is the final reality. He is the Truth , the only way to the Father, He has died in their place for forgiveness of sin and believe that this world is in PROCESS of passing away.

This company of LOST PRODIGALS have been found, forgiven , MADE NEW, and crazy with JOY. They worship and give thanks and in their gatherings, encouraging one another, " HE IS ALIVE, HE IS PRESENT", establishing them in this NEWNESS OF LIFE. They are new creations. I Cor. 5:17.

Out of death has come new life and a new kind of humanity from every color and nation that has been created. If you are in Christ you are seated in Him in Heavenly Places. And it is all by GRACE THROUGH FAITH in the finished work of Christ. He died in our place, and rose again to bring us home to our Father.

On earth today there are three kinds of people groups: the Jew, the Gentile (all the other nations) and the Born from Above believers. All three groups contain peoples from many nations. Have you ever thought about which people group you belong ? Your future will depend on it. Only the new group created out of the death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus will see Heaven. Repent, Believe and Receive the Holy Spirit ." YOU MUST BE BORN AGAIN."
John 3:3-7Dottie in Himhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12900675354486589518noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-776076197087647846.post-58826444066448994212019-07-14T22:38:00.000-04:002019-07-14T22:38:00.469-04:00IS JESUS THE MESSIAH?I have something interesting to share with you. Do you remember how on the cross Jesus cried out "Eli, Eli, Lama sabachthani?"My God my God why have you forsaken me?" I have always wondered why. I assumed that it was at that time He became my sin and the Father had to turn His head away. I think it is still good a reason, however, I would like to share another thought to ponder.

If Jesus was the Messiah, where was the proof? When Jesus cried out on the cross, "My God my God why hast thou forsaken me?", He was singing in His weaken voice Psalm 22, " My God My God why have you forsaken Me' The Jews knew this song. When Jesus sang it from the cross He was declaring , "I am He." The Jews were very familiar with this Psalm and believed that the Messiah would quote it when He came. In fact, someone near the cross said,"Surely He must be the Messiah!"

Another interesting situation that Jesus wanted to proof His Messiahship was when Jesus intentionally waited four days before He arrived at Lazarus' tomb. Mary and Martha were all upset and wondered why Jesus took so long. After three days a dead body starts to decay and stinks. One knows it is dead. Jesus knew exactly what He was doing by waiting. Again He used this opportunity to declare His Messiahship . (John 11:21-25)

Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection , and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead yet shall he live."

His resurrection is the foundation of our faith. If He is not risen than we are still in our sins. Jesus truly is the Messiah. I know He is alive because He lives within my heart. The sinner ( me) has died in Christ, is buried in Him and am raised to newness of life. God's word is true: repent, be baptized and receive the Holy Spirit.
You thought it was a good idea,but the Lord is silent and time is passing by.

The story of Moses is where I first learned about the death of a vision. We are told that Moses was a meek and humble man. He trusted in and obeyed the Lord's commandments. However, Moses wasn't always humble, Earlier in his life, when he saw an Egyptian abusing a fellow Hebrew, his temper rose and Moses became a murderer. He killed an Egyptian.

His intentions were admirable. He thought he was helping God stop the Egyptians from flogging his Hebrew brethren. Moses was discovered trying to bury his victim and had to ran for his life. He ended up far, far away in the back side of the wilderness. There he became a shepherd, tending sheep for a living.

Talk about humble pie! His dreams were over. Moses who once was a somebody, who sat in the audience of the great Pharaoh , now was a was a nobody. But,God was not finished with him.

Forty years later when the Lord called Moses out of the burning bush, he was a totally broken man. His self-confidence and pride had been exposed. The years he spent in the wilderness had broken his self will. He no longer had any confidence in himself to act for God. In fact he asked the Lord to send his brother Aaron. Moses had been humbled. He knew that if the Lord did go before him, it was totally impossible to do what the Lord was asking. He was in a good place. He had to depend on his God. That is what made him a humble man. He had complete trust and confidence in the Lord and not in himself.

God had taken a somebody, made him a nobody, and then raised him to be a somebody that He could use. The Lord had dwelt with Moses's pride, his self-will. He didn't get there overnight. It was a process that only God could do. God had a work for Moses and only He could prepare him to lead his people out of bondage in Egypt. Apart from the Lord's power, it would be totally impossible for any man.

What I have learned is that if an idea or vision is really from the Lord, it is important to let it die. If it is not from the Lord, it will stay dead. If it is from Him, He will resurrect it and use me to fulfill it. Don't try to accomplish in the flesh (self-life) what only God can perform by the Holy Spirit. Surrender to Him and let God be God.Dottie in Himhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12900675354486589518noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-776076197087647846.post-62681086112067641692019-06-20T10:40:00.000-04:002019-06-21T16:49:29.005-04:00"MY DADDY CAN DO ANYTHING"One of my dearest friends told me this true story.

When she was four years old, she and her little girl friend were playing in the sand box filling coke bottles with sand. In the process of playing her friend broke her bottle and began to cry.

"Don't cry Sarah, my daddy can fix anything! she explained, picking the pieces and taking them to her father.

Her father took the pieces into his work shoppe and told her to ran out and play while he fixed the bottle. Minutes later, her daddy came out with the fixed bottle. ( a new coke bottle)

Sara was delighted . Christine explained,"SEE, MY DADDY CAN FIX ANYTHING!"

In reality, her father could fix anything, so it never occurred to Christine that he wouldn't.

What a great picture of our Heavenly Father. How many times have you and I taken broken pieces to Him, knowing that He is the ONLY ONE WHO COULD FIX ANYTHING!

Dottie in Himhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12900675354486589518noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-776076197087647846.post-56711283549902754842019-05-28T13:17:00.000-04:002019-05-31T19:43:45.600-04:00THE HOLY SPIRIT IS GOD TOO!It is so easy to think that the Holy Spirit is not a person, but as some godly influence or power. But He is not. He is God too. I know that we are not to worship the Holy Spirit, but without Him, we would never know Jesus or be able to understand the Word of God. He is our teacher and revealer of all truth. He always points us to Jesus. Without Him we would never have a relationship with our God.

We believe that Jesus is our Lord and Savior.We accept the adoption of our Father as sons and daughters, but we so often neglect the importance of the Holy Spirit as a person too! Is He not the person who prays through us in agreement with Jesus in Heaven? Jesus sent Him from the Father to replace Himself on earth when He left to be at His Father's right hand. He did not want to leave His disciples as orphans. As His disciples today in 2019, the same is true. We are not orphans. The Holy Spirit's work continues among us.

Jesus said, "My sheep hear my voice and they follow me". How can we hear His voice except through the person of the Holy Spirit in us? The Holy Spirit is like the sheep dog that rounds up the sheep at the command of the Shepherd's whistle and herds them into a pen. He takes his orders from the Shepherd only.

Peter preached saying,"repent, be baptized, received the Holy Spirit.? Have you received the Holy Spirit since you believed? " We were baptized into the body of Christ by the Holy Spirit, but have we ever acknowledge Him or allowed Him to baptize us in the power of His Love?

Let us not neglect to acknowledge Holy Spirit as an important person in the Godhead, and thank the Lord Jesus for sending Him to take His place. Through the Holy Spirit we will experience the presence of God, the fellowship of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The Throne room is open all the time. The blood of the lamb avails for us to enter in. Our born again spirits ignite with excitement and joy as we enter into fellowship with the God of this universe. Come let us worship our God together: The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.Dottie in Himhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12900675354486589518noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-776076197087647846.post-58216716142696566692019-05-23T10:00:00.000-04:002019-05-25T19:46:27.126-04:00THE NARROW WAYHave you ever seen a sheep herding contest? I saw my first one at the Fryeberg Fair in Maine. Half the time, the sheep ignored the dog, refusing to obey his lead. But the sheep dog just patiently waited for the shepherd to whistle his commands. Then like a shot, the dog would race across the field, nipping at the kneels of the sheep directing them towards the pen. I was amazed how many of the sheep fought entering one by one through a narrow gate. Eventually, the shepherd and his sheep dog herded them into the pen. The contest lasted about ten minutes. The shepherd and his dog, who were the fastest to herd their sheep into the pen and close the gate won.

This event was one of the most fascinating to watch, especially the relationship between the shepherd and his sheep dog. It reminded me of one of the glories of our Lord Jesus, our Good Shepherd.

Jesus Christ is the Shepherd, we are the sheep and the Holy Spirit is the sheep dog. The Holy Spirit was sent into the world to bring us back through the NARROW GATE to the Good Shepherd. The Holy Spirit is often called the "the hound of heaven" and I can see why. He is determined to fulfill the glory of the Good Shepherd in His sheep even if we go astray, He will be nipping at our heels.

Sheep have such a mind of their own. How appropriate it is for the Lord to call us His SHEEP. By working together, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit hems us in on all sides leading us through the NARROW GATE on our journey home. If we are left to ourself, we would wander in this world without hope.

I am so grateful to be born again by the grace of God and able to confess that Jesus Christ is THE NARROW WAY: THE ONLY WAY BACK TO MY FATHER IN HEAVEN. John 14:6.
Matthew 27:50,51 states, "Jesus when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost. And behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom."

The "veil" in this passage refers to the curtain separating the Holy of Holies- the most holy place- from the rest of the temple. The Holy of Holies was off limits for everyone except for the High Priest on the annual Day of Atonement.

With the ripping of the veil, access to God was opened and made available to all who put their faith in Jesus Christ. Every believer in Jesus can come directly to God through His shed blood. We do not need a priest or intermediary. The way has been opened for every believer. Heb. 9:6-8.

The ripping of this veil or curtain from top to bottom suggests that this is something that God has done. Had the veil been ripped from the bottom-within the reach of men-to the top, that would suggest that this ripping and tearing was something that man had done

God was, and still is, fully satisfied with the propitiatory sacrifice that Jesus Christ had offered. God has accepted the death of Christ. Consequently, God by His grace and mercy, has removed that veil.

Another thought to ponder:

Woven into this thick curtain were two Cherubim (angels) facing each other. When the curtain was torn from the top to the bottom, God ripped it right down the middle between the two Cheribum.

It made me think that God has removed the two Cherubim that He placed at he entrance to the Garden of Eden to guard the Tree of Life. Jesus is our Tree of Life, (our daily bread). Now, we can come back to the Garden, (God's presence), but only through the blood of His Son.

Hebrew 10:19-20 reveals this truth, "Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way, which He hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh..."

Meet you in the Throne Room.
Dottie in Himhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12900675354486589518noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-776076197087647846.post-9428606591139405762019-03-29T09:41:00.000-04:002019-03-30T22:10:18.603-04:00ANOTHER LOOK AT LENTIt's Lent! Forty days before Easter. It is time to give up something. Let me see. I am a little overweight--chocolate , cheese or ice cream for a start? How about TV? Oh no, forget that! March Madness is starting--college basketball games. Wait a minute.

What am I thinking. Even if I give up sweets or TV, I know myself only too well. Just as soon as Lent is over, I will be right back into the sugar bowl and watching TV. I don't think I really understand Lent.

From a religious point of view, I think it is a time when man gives up something to honor the Lord's great sacrifice.

The more I thought about what I wanted to give up, I was more aware of my old man of sin, the flesh. It doesn't like to give up anything.

But isn't that the point. It is a sacrifice for only forty days. I could at least do that. It sounded good.

I began to ask the Lord what He might like me to give up for Lent. To my surprise, Roman 12:1 and 2 came to mind."I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship."

He, then, spoke to my heart, "My daughter, the only thing I desire is for you to give me your whole heart. The new heart I transplanted in you when I gave you a new birth."

Then an acrostic for Lent came to mind.

L-iving
 E-ternally
N-ow
T-oday

As a believer, He has put eternity in my heart. Every day I desire to bless my Lord. My new heart is more important to Him than anything I could tangibly offer Him. He just loves me. He just loves you, my brothers and sisters because you belong to Him.
In the brilliance of the full moonlight, ocean waves sparkled as far as you could see. The once crowded beach was empty, except for the evening walkers. A young couple walked romantically holding hands along the beach as ripples of waves washed over their feet. They couldn't resist the playful gesture of splashing each other and running away. Love was in the air. Their friendship was growing, but this night was different.

Their lives would forever be changed. He wanted to marry her. But, was she ready to forsake all others and only be true to him?

This love story reminds me of the time the Holy Spirit revealed to me how much Jesus loved me. He stretched out His arms and died. What I didn't understand was the importance of my identification with His death, burial and resurrection. The sinner, (me) had to die, be buried and raised to a new life in Him, (Galatians 3:20) In effect I had spiritual surgery. The old stoney heart of sin was cut out and a new heart of love was transplanted into me, (Ezekiel 36:25-27). I was now married to Jesus: "He who is joined to the Lord is ONE SPIRIT with Him", (Corinthians 6:17)

Like the young women in the story, I liked the idea of Jesus dying FOR my sins, but the thought me as a sinner dying in Him was a revelation.

" I was a fickle bride"

I had two Lovers: Jesus and this world, (Ephesians 2:2)

Engagement is one thing. Marriage is a Covenant. Was I ready to enter into an eternal covenant with Jesus? I didn't realize how independent I was. I wanted the Lord's blessings without true repentance. I had to forsake the world and only to Him be true. I have to confess that I never really understood repentance or counted the cost. It doesn't mean I am sinless, but, I would have power over sin and sin only by choice. Repentance is a beautiful gift in my relationship. I am always forgiven.

By the grace of God, like a new bride learning the habits and ways of her bridegroom, I am growing to know my Lord in a more intimate way. I am grateful that He is not fickle. He is a faithful bridegroom, patient, kind, understanding, forgiving, providing for my needs and protecting me from the evil one. His love will never fail. There is no one like Him.

AFTER SHE READ THE BOOK BY PRAYING MEDIC, " DEFEATING YOUR ADVERSARY IN THE COURT OF HEAVEN", SHE DECIDED TO GO TO COURT. IT WAS HER FIRST TIME. THE FOLLOWING IS HER TESTIMONY.

"As I asked for the Court to be convened, I could vaguely see God the Judge in front of me. To my right stood Jesus. To my left in front of me was the accuser. When I asked for the accusation to be heard, I saw several little beings by the accuser. I knew /sensed the accusation was about an abortion I had when I was 17 years old (I’m presently 52).

To give a brief background, I have wholeheartedly repented for this sin. I broke covenants with death and murder. Broke curses, etc. Forgave every person involved. As far as I knew, I dealt with this in a spiritual sense 100%.

I sat there and waited for the Holy Spirit to guide and help me. I thought to myself, I only aborted 1 baby, not all of those. My recollection was about 6 little beings there. And then I sensed/ heard from the Lord, I don’t remember how He communicated to me, but He revealed to me that I had not just killed that baby, I killed the offspring. The other lives that would’ve come through my baby’s life.

I wept so hard!
I saw this!
I saw them!

It was so horrible to realize the gravity of aborting my baby. I cried in deep repentance and asked for forgiveness. I stated my only defense was the blood of Jesus!

Then, the most amazing thing happened. I could feel the mercy of Jesus. Right there in the midst of discovering the gravity of my sin (not one life but many) I was forgiven. It was a profound moment of experiencing the mercy and forgiveness of God. I was declared not guilty and Court ended.

I’ve never heard anyone teach on this in what I call “Freedom” ministry. It was a revelation to me. It is imperative for anyone that has had an abortion to not only repent for the life they ended, but also for the offspring that would have come through that life.

Thank You, Jesus for Your revelation and amazing grace!"

It is not our intent to cause shame or humiliation to anyone who has had an abortion. Our only intent is to let you know that God is compassionate toward you and He would like you to be free of any accusations that the enemy has brought against you.

Abide in Me.
Be grafted into me,
for on the cross
I allowed My body to be broken
in order that I might draw you into Me.
I have exposed to you My inner self,
and I have opened a way for you to become one with Me.

Place your life into Mine.
I will surround you with My love.
I will cover you with My protection
that you may stand steady
despite the gales of life.

I will nourish you
with My unlimited resources.
Will quench your thirst
with My life-giving water.

As you allow Me to shape and prune your life
through your obedience to My teachings,
I will help you grow
and become so much a part of Me
that your life will produce the fruit of Christlikeness -
the fruit of love , joy, peace,
patience , kindness, goodness,
faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.

And through the fruit
that I will produce in your life,
others will see Me in you;
and they, too, will be led
to become grafted into Me.

The greatest gift we will ever receive is laying in the manager. Many will stop, take a look, but many will walk right by. I did for years. Until I stopped and thought, "That baby is God".

Let me share from the beginning how this all started by unwrapping this gift. I had no idea that I was sinner. I wasn't a bad person. Compared to others around me I felt pretty good. I went to church most of the time, said a few prayers, read my bible, and tried to be a nice person. I wasn't prefect. Who was? You might say I was a <span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">good sinner compared to a bad sinner.
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif; font-size: large;">

I felt pretty good about myself until one day someone said to me, " Dottie, you know, you are trying to mix oil and vinegar and you can't". I thought, "What on earth is she talking about?'

Now, I get it. God is Holy and man is unholy. You don't mix Holy with unholy. That word was the beginning of my search to know the baby in the manager 50 years ago.

Today, I know why I was created He wanted my fellowship and worship, Colossians 1:16. I willfully choose to worship myself and went my own way. I was separated from my creator and didn't even know it, until I found out that God had a secret.

Before the foundation of the earth, a blood covenant had been made between the Father and the Son. It would be kept in heaven until an appointed time on earth. Revelations 13:8. Galatians 4:4.

Roughly 2000 years ago, a child was born and placed in a manager. He grew into manhood only to die as a sinner, who knew no sin,
2 Corinthians 5:21 Why? He was God. Perfect man. It didn't make sense until I realized that I was the sinner and needed a savior to save me from the judgement of a Holy God.

For years I knew the gospel, but I still felt something was missing. I found it in Romans 6. Jesus not only died FOR me, but, I DIED WITH HIM, was buried with Him and was raised with Him into a newness of life. It was true. By faith, I had truly died and been born again. I was a new creation in Christ Jesus. He is alive and His Spirit is in me Romans 8:9. What a big difference it has made.

I truly have entered into a new covenant with my Lord. It is like my covenant with Roger when we were married. We became one flesh. Now, with God (Father , Son and Holy Spirit) I have became one Spirit with the Lord Jesus 1 Corinthians 6:17 . Nothing can separate me from His love. Romans 8:39. We are in covenant.

The greatest gift I have ever received I found lying in the manager, in Bethlehem, 2000 years ago, prepared as a sacrifice for my sin.

I pray many will stop by the manager once again this year to hear the baby say, "I am God, <span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">clothed in your humanity to die for your sins. Come...repent...turn back to me and I will receive you. Your sins are forgiven, past, present and future. I have so much to show you. Keep unwrapping my gift to you."

THIS SONG CAME OUT 2015, BUT IT IS STILL A GOOD REMINDER.

Christmas is OUR holiday not the world's. The world can have Santa, and he is fun, but he is NOT Christmas. THE ONLY REASON FOR THIS SEASON ALL OVER THE WORLD, IS JESUS-- our Savior. He came to lay down His life for us, the sinner, that we would be forgiven and raised to a newness of life. Whosoever believes and receives Jesus as their Savior and Lord will receive the greatest gift ever given for man. Let us join together as believers and keep Christ in OUR Christmas.Dottie in Himhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12900675354486589518noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-776076197087647846.post-34746061690060472592018-11-20T13:06:00.001-05:002018-11-20T13:06:36.448-05:00LIGHT IS THE DARKNESS

Recently, I was in a conversation with a young mother, who has been dealing with many fears and anxieties.

As we were talking, I felt the Lord gave me this encouraging word.

"Josie, (the name is changed) I see that your heart is very heavy today."

"I am Dottie. Motherhood is a little overwhelming some days and today is one of them."

"How can I pray for you?" I asked

" It's fear and anxiety again. I don't think I am a very good mother. I am afraid I will fail ."

"Oh Josie, there is plenty of that to go around. Motherhood, is full of it. I remember when I was a young mom, an older woman said to me, "You may feel you are not a perfect mother, but you are the perfect mother for your daughter." I held on to that for years.

I believe the Lord wants to encourage you today by reminding you that fear and anxiety are familiar feelings left over when you lived in the Kingdom of Darkness. They don't exist in the Kingdom of Light. It is so easy to forget who we belong to. It takes time.

It is like when you first come into a dark room and turn on a light. At first, you can see only a little. But as you turn on more lights (revelations), you will begin to see more and more how beautiful the room has been arranged just for you. God loves you, Josie, and understands fear and anxiety all too well. He nailed it to His cross. You don't have to live with it any more. The more you let Him embrace you with His love and believe you are totally forgiven for all your sins, Jesus will replace that fear and anxiety with more of Himself...Faith , Hope and Love. "Perfect Love does cast out all fear." 1 John 4.

It's true, Josie. He will continue to perfect us in His love and as He does, 'The things in this world will grow strangely dim."

We hugged and were strengthen in our Lord for the day.

This is you MOM!

Many of our nation's presidents recognized the impact of godly mothers--as evidenced in these quotes. "All I am I owe to my mother. I attribute all my successes in life to the education I received from her, " George Washington. "I remember my mother's prayers and they have always followed me," Abraham Lincoln. "From my mother I learned the value of prayer, how to have dreams and believe I could make them come true." Ronald Reagan. These leaders guided the country through difficult circumstances and attributed their success in part to their mother's teachings.

You may feel this culture has no place for you. You bring a child into the world and it no longer belongs to you. It may seem like the state wants to take over and tell you how to raise your child. But that is not true. If God has graced you with a child, he/she is a gift from Him. You have the privilege to raise him/her in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. God has a special plan to bless that child with His glory. He is with you and will show you the way.

Saint Paul also recognizes the importance of godly mothers and grandmothers. His letters to Timothy mention Lois and Eunice who taught Timothy scripture from childhood and modeled sincere faith despite a less than ideal environment (Timothy's father wasn't a Christian.). Their influence led Timothy to become Paul's traveling companion in spreading the gospel and ultimately a leader in the early church. 2Timothy 1:5

Mom, don't lose heart. God is on your side. You are raising the next generation of godly leaders. It is time for the the righteous to rule and let the people rejoice. Your sons and daughters will make an impact for good or for evil. Remember who is rocking the cradle!
There is something about the family's atmosphere that generates the power focus to subdue the earth and bring His Kingdom into the affairs of this world. I believe satan feared the seed of the woman--for it would have the power to destroy him. He well knew that even our children would contend with him in the gate (see Psalm 127:5) I believe this is why the Lord's desire has always been to "set the solitary ( widows, orphans, and the fatherless) in families as a picture of His own desire for a family." (Psalm 68:6)
Now, through the blood and sacrifice of our Lord Jesus Christ, His burial and resurrection , by faith we have been placed in a new family...THE FAMILY OF GOD.

Could it be, ever since the garden of Eden, that the enemy well knows that the family of God holds the hidden power to destroy his kingdom and deliver whole nations? Is it any wonder why he unleashes hell upon the body of Christ? He wants us divided not united. Divided he conquerors, unity God wins. Satan may have power to deceive, but we have the truth and the authority in the name of Jesus to put satan under His feet. Ephesians 1:22

Jesus commissioned the church to go forth and disciple all nations. It is my prayer that we do just that. If we can't disciple America, how an we reach the world?

It is my prayer that the Name of Jesus be lifted up in America and that all men be drawn unto Him. This nations fought many wars with the blood of men. Now it it time TO WIN THIS NATION WITH THE BLOOD OF JESUS. God loves America. Do we?Dottie in Himhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12900675354486589518noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-776076197087647846.post-14698550142887045222018-09-04T22:09:00.004-04:002018-09-04T22:12:17.197-04:00I Will Go by River w/lyrics
If you have repented , believed on the Lord Jesus Christ and received God's forgiveness, past, present and future, Jesus is alive in you and ready to use you for His glory. Romans 8:9

Enjoy HIs presence in you and with today. He loves you and desires for you to know Him more. His love has been shed abroad in your heart by the Holy Spirit. Romans 5:5

You are a new creation. your heart of sin has been nailed to the cross. In His resurrection, Jesus made all things new, even your heart. Jesus took out your stoney heart of sin and created a new heart with new and right desires. Ezekiel 36:26 it is your new heart that Jesus has come to live in.
Enjoy His fellowship today.Dottie in Himhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12900675354486589518noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-776076197087647846.post-81354633673785738632018-08-09T13:35:00.000-04:002018-08-09T13:35:11.301-04:00BECOMING THE FAMILY CHEERLEADERSParenting is not a easy task. It is not a calling for the faint-hearted. The tyranny of life necessitates the support of extended families. Our own grown children need our encouragement, our experience, and our active involvement in this most vital endeavor. They also need our availability to help with their young families and our willingness to lift some the burden of child-rearing from their shoulders, whenever possible.

We grandparents can make a difference! And we can accomplish this without undermining our children's role as parents in their own households. In our season of life, we may not to be calling all the shots anymore--but we can still support our grown children from the sidelines!

Dear Lord,

We pray for Your help to be an active model and a living testimony of Your love and forgiveness in the eyes of our grandchildren--and for Your grace to extend to them the same love and forgiveness that we have received from You.

May or grandchildren enjoy a personal relationship with You--not only to hear stories about You, but also to have Your presence abiding in their hearts. May Your blessing be upon them as they continue to mature in our wayward society.

In Your Holy Name,
Amen
At a time when our nation is in chaos and the enemies of God seem relentless, it is not only important for us to pray, but to also consider additional actions that will demonstrate Kingdom authority in our spheres of influence. We can learn much from one intercessor in the Bible who affected an entire nation through his prayers as well as his actions. Though many are familiar with Esther's role in delivering a nation from destruction, Mordecai paved the way for this national breakthrough through his prayers and engagement in the public square. His persistence and perseverance in the midst of uncertainties and threats show a man with a mandate – an assignment from the Lord. His story reveals several strategic keys for effective prayer and engagement as we seek wisdom and discernment in confronting wickedness in high places.

<div class="subtitle" style="font-family: "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: 12pt; margin-left: 0in; margin-right: 0in;">
Loving God and Loving Others

<div class="" style="font-family: "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: 12pt; margin-left: 0in; margin-right: 0in;">

<div class="" style="font-family: "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: 12pt; margin-left: 0in; margin-right: 0in;">
Mordecai was a father figure to Esther. In raising her, he helped establish her faith, as well as her love for God and the Jewish people (Esther 2:7). This bond rightly directed their hearts, their prayers, and their responses throughout their journey. This kind of foundation is essential to effective prayer. Meaningful relationships and mutual concern for others helps to establish the proper motivation in prayer.

<div class="subtitle" style="font-family: "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: 12pt; margin-left: 0in; margin-right: 0in;">

Going "On-Site for Insight"

<div class="" style="font-family: "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: 12pt; margin-left: 0in; margin-right: 0in;">
When Esther was taken to the palace, Scripture states, "Every day he (Mordecai) walked back and forth near the courtyard of the harem to find out how Esther was and what was happening to her" (Esther 2:11 emphasis mine). As a man of prayer, could these have been daily prayer walks? Every day, Mordecai was on-site to listen and learn, seeking the Lord for insight during the twelve months of Esther's beauty treatments for the king. Prayer-walking our communities may be an under-utilized tool of intercession that can produce powerful insights and clarity as to the Lord's purposes and plans.

<div class="subtitle" style="font-family: "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: 12pt; margin-left: 0in; margin-right: 0in;">
Engaging in the Public Square

<div class="" style="font-family: "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: 12pt; margin-left: 0in; margin-right: 0in;">

<div class="" style="font-family: "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: 12pt; margin-left: 0in; margin-right: 0in;">
Mordecai also sat at the king's gate where decisions were made, and official business took place (2:19). Whether he was an invited participant or careful observer, he sought to be better informed. He positioned himself at the place where decrees were issued, and verdicts were rendered on behalf of the king and the nation. This shows us the need to be rightly informed on issues and watching those in positions of authority to learn and discern. (Photo via Wikimedia Commons)

<div class="subtitle" style="font-family: "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: 12pt; margin-left: 0in; margin-right: 0in;">
Speaking Out Against Corruption

<div class="" style="font-family: "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: 12pt; margin-left: 0in; margin-right: 0in;">

<div class="" style="font-family: "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: 12pt; margin-left: 0in; margin-right: 0in;">
Mordecai's decision to sit in this place of political activity proved to be significant. He overheard a plot to assassinate the king and reported it to Esther (2:21-23). He did not let fear stop him from alerting the palace of this threat. When the investigation proved the story to be true, the criminals were punished, and Mordecai's courageous actions were written in the official record. Believers need ongoing boldness when confronting wrong-doing or corruption. Regardless of the threats, our testimonies and actions may be the very catalyst to break the enemy's back.

<div class="subtitle" style="font-family: "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: 12pt; margin-left: 0in; margin-right: 0in;">
Exposing Injustice

<div class="" style="font-family: "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: 12pt; margin-left: 0in; margin-right: 0in;">

<div class="" style="font-family: "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: 12pt; margin-left: 0in; margin-right: 0in;">
This seemingly small but significant act granted Mordecai great favor with the king. Unbeknownst to Mordecai or Esther, God planned to use this event to later position Mordecai as a trusted adviser to the king. His willingness to speak up and take action against injustice created a platform for him when much more would be at stake. Never forsake small beginnings! God is looking for your faithfulness, no matter how small the task. It may be what opens the door to an even bigger assignment!

<div class="" style="font-family: "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: 12pt; margin: 0in 0in 0.0001pt; text-align: center;">

Standing in the Face of Intimidation and Threats

<div class="" style="font-family: "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: 12pt; margin-left: 0in; margin-right: 0in;">
When Mordecai refused to bow to Haman, the demonically-driven official sought to kill him (3:5-6). Even so, Mordecai didn't compromise or relent. Despite ridicule and death threats, Mordecai stood his ground and trusted God to vindicate him. It is critical to trust the Lord's timing when seeking justice. Sometimes, we will be called to simply stand our ground as the Lord makes the next move.

<div class="subtitle" style="font-family: "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: 12pt; margin-left: 0in; margin-right: 0in;">

<div class="subtitle" style="font-family: "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: 12pt; margin-left: 0in; margin-right: 0in;">
Standing in the Gap for the People

<div class="" style="font-family: "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: 12pt; margin-left: 0in; margin-right: 0in;">
Once Mordecai learned about the death decree against his people, the Bible says he tore his clothes, put on sackcloth and ashes, and went out into the city, wailing loudly and bitterly (4:1). He humbled himself in front of the whole city in order to bring attention to an injustice. His witness became the example for others to follow throughout the entire province as fellow Jews fasted and wept aloud for their nation. Don't underestimate what your own obedient response may stir in the spirit. Others may be looking for direction and your example may be just the thing they need to take action.

<div class="subtitle" style="font-family: "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: 12pt; margin-left: 0in; margin-right: 0in;">
Being Informed and Prepared

<div class="" style="font-family: "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: 12pt; margin-left: 0in; margin-right: 0in;">
When asked by an official what he was doing, Mordecai was prepared with a testimony as well as written papers proving his case (4:8). His lament was not without cause. He knew the facts and details and was prepared to share them with the appropriate people. It is imperative that we get the facts straight and share accurate information. Heaven will back us up when we've done our homework, counted the cost, and come prepared.

<div class="subtitle" style="font-family: "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: 12pt; margin-left: 0in; margin-right: 0in;">
Speaking the Word of the Lord

<div class="" style="font-family: "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: 12pt; margin-left: 0in; margin-right: 0in;">
When Esther responded to Mordecai's suggestion of appealing to the king for mercy, she was fearful and hesitant. Yet, his word to her became the key that unlocked the door to her destiny: "For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father's family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this" (Esther 4:14)? Just as Esther was there "for such a time as this," so was Mordecai. Without his presence and prophetic declaration to her, Esther may have missed the God-ordained opportunity before her. You, too, may have a word for someone that will launch them into their assignment. Don't be afraid to speak it! (Photo via Elijah List Shopper: Hadassah by Linda Harris-Iorio)

<div class="subtitle" style="font-family: "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: 12pt; margin-left: 0in; margin-right: 0in;">
Becoming an Ambassador of National Prayer

<div class="" style="font-family: "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: 12pt; margin-left: 0in; margin-right: 0in;">
When Mordecai took Esther's request to the Jewish people for a time of national fasting and prayer, he became a conduit of intercession (4:15-17). He championed this national call to prayer and stood in the gap for Esther and their people. Mordecai became a change agent for his nation through prayer and intercession in a time of crisis.

<div class="" style="font-family: "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: 12pt; margin-left: 0in; margin-right: 0in;">

<div class="" style="font-family: "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: 12pt; margin-left: 0in; margin-right: 0in;">
God is strategically placing Believers in positions of influence and authority throughout our nation to bring needed transformation. Just as Mordecai was a hidden tool in God's hands, so are numerous change agents being positioned to speak much-needed counsel and wisdom to those in high places. Mordecai never sought the lime-light but went undercover in the place of prayer and encouragement to one who was.

<div class="" style="font-family: "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: 12pt; margin-left: 0in; margin-right: 0in;">

<div class="" style="font-family: "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: 12pt; margin-left: 0in; margin-right: 0in;">
We are all called to pray, but I believe there are many who carry this Mordecai mandate – this commission to stand in the gap, take action, and be an example that will inspire and motivate others to be change agents in our communities and nation. May God's grace be upon them to be strong and courageous, for the battle is the Lord's and the victory will be ours.

NO NO NO. That is a lie. I still can choose to sin, but it is by choice. When I was born in Adam, I had the NO choice, but to be a good sinner or a bad sinner. Whether good or bad I was still a sinner. I ate from the tree of Good and Evil.

Like Cain in Genesis 4:6, the Lord spoke to Cain and tried to stop him from murder, "If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, SIN is crouching at the door. ITS desire is for you, but you must rule over it." Cain's only choice was to do good or to do evil. Sin is an "IT"in our souls that we can choose or not.

But today, on this side of the cross, by identifying in Christ's death, burial, resurrection and ascension, as our own, we too have been crucified buried and raised to a newness of life in Him. (Galatians 2:20) We have been set free from the tree of good and evil (our old man) and given back the TREE OF LIFE : JESUS CHRIST. God no longer judges us by our behavior, or performance.

The truth is, apart from Christ we were all born sinners and deserve death. "The soul that sins shall die." (Ezekiel 18:4). Jesus came to give us LIFE and life abundantly. Freedom to love our God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength and to love one another.

Now God's instructions through St. Paul makes sense, "Let not sin therefore reign in our mortal bodies, to make you obey its passions. Do not present your members to sin as instruments for unrighteousness, but present yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life, and your members to God as instrument of righteousness. For sin will have no dominion over you, since you are not under law but under grace" Romans 6:12-15.

When Jesus said "IT IS FINISHED", He meant it. The sinner in Adam was crucified, buried and raised to a newness of life in Jesus Christ by the power of His death, burial and resurrection. Galatians 2:20 says that, "We were crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me....". By faith we are born again to a newness of life by the power of His resurrection. Our life is now hidden in Christ in God, Col. 3:3." We have a new identity. We are 'saints' set apart to the living God . The sinner has died in Christ.

By faith, when we are raise to a new life, God creates in us a new heart of love to enable us to obey His word and to follow Him. We are bought with a price and no longer our own. We belong to Him. The Holy Spirit desires to reveal more of Jesus to us and who we are IN Him. We are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. It is amazing grace. God did it. When we repent, believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, we are born from above and become the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. You may not feel righteous, but righteousness is not a feeling. It is God Himself living His right-ness through us. because you are now one with Him.

You can't clean a garbage can to smell like new. It will still be a garbage can. Our flesh profits nothing. It will NEVER change. God has to create something entirely new. He is not interested in changing our sinful heart. He has breathed new life into our dead human spirit. And the love of God is shed aboard in our new heart by the Holy spirit. We now have a new hearts of love. A new nature moldable for God to transform us into His image and likeness.

We are totally loved, totally forgiven, and a total treasure in the heart of our Father. We are one spirit with Him forever. "He who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him 1 Corinthians 6:17." It is a new day.

There is no God like our God. He lives, He reigns and He delights in His children all the time. Even on our most discouraging day, God is not discouraged with us, because He knows the Spirit of His Son in us will bring us through anything. Romans 8:9.
Of course they are not perfect and will break down at some point, but this one helps to understand our NEW CREATION in Christ.

Jesus handed me keys to a brand new car with a tank full of gas. He gave me a life- time credit card for gasoline and any repairs. He took my old car keys and threw them away saying "These old keys will do you no good. You move over and let me show you how to operate this new car. I designed it perfectly for you. You sit back and rest and leave the driving to Me. I know exactly where I am going and the way to get there. You have to let the old car go. It is nothing like the new one."

Wow. what an exchange for my old car. (Born in Adam; dead in trespasses and sin and exchanged for a new life in Christ. Jesus has given to us the keys of the Kingdom.

The OLD has gone and NEW has come. This is Amazing Grace.Dottie in Himhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12900675354486589518noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-776076197087647846.post-31835138928281878922018-07-02T19:03:00.000-04:002018-07-02T19:03:48.452-04:00Grandparenting:Creating and Keeping a Lasting Legacy
