I was raised in a small town in New England. My parents were good people. We had our differences and plenty of family arguments, but we were very religious. We went to church every Sunday, memorized bible verses, learned to be kind and to forgive one another, but we never heard the TRUE GOSPEL or anything about the BLOOD OF JESUS TO CLEANSE US FROM ALL OUR SINS. I was encouraged all the time "To be good and God will forgive me and when I die I will go to Heaven". What I didn't know nor my parents was that we were being taught a "bloodless" gospel. It was false Christianity.
In Corinthians 11, St Paul exposes the angel of light. Verses 13-15 says,"For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. So it is no surprise if his servants, also, disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their deeds."
Today, like never before I personally think Satan needs to be exposed more and more, especially as the "Day of the Lord" draws near. He is very subtle and extremely deceitful. He hasn't changed since the Garden and is leading many to Hell through his religious deceptions.
At this hour, Satan is furious. He is like the bees of August looking for their last sting. Satan hates a true Christian. He can't stop any of us from being saved, or believing and receiving the Lord Jesus as our propitiation, (blood sacrifice). But he will stop at nothing to keep us deceived by a false Christianity, struggling to be like Jesus and never letting us know the true freedom we have in our wonderful Lord. Satan will constantly try to keep you away from hearing or believing anything about the the Grace of God, His abundant life, His power to deliver or to heal. He will constantly condemn you or make you feel guilty about everything, especially when you know your conscience is clear. Don't let him!!!
Once we are born again, we become Satan's worst enemy and our only defense is our FAITH in EVERY WORD OF GOD. For instance Revelation 12:11 says "And they have CONQUERED him, (the devil) by the BLOOD of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony, for they loved not their lives even unto death." I am still learning through my own trials, that the word of God is true and His promises faithful. Be encouraged. God is on our side and the devil HAS NO TEETH. He is all bark. The blood of Jesus and the Word will shut him up.
In my last post, "The impossibility" I shared my struggle getting free from all the lies of the angel of light, and how he perverted the scriptures to make me think that I had to perform to be accepted and loved by the Father. WHAT A LIE. In Christ all things become new, cleansed, forgiven and washed in the blood of Jesus. By the grace of God we can declare, "I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, accepted in the beloved, and belong to Christ alone. He is the author and finisher of my faith and I am so very grateful that He will finish for His glory.'
If by faith you have received the Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, you can be sure that you have a very special place in the heart of your heavenly Father. He not only carried you to His Son on the CROSS, but He will carry you home protected in His loving arms of GRACE.
"Be still and know that I am God, I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in all the earth!" Psalm 46:10

The impossiblilty
Have you ever thought how impossible it is to be a Christian? You are right. It is impossible. I tried for years and failed miserably. I finally gave up trying to prefect myself to be like Jesus. It just was too hard and impossible. I thought I was a Christian but I was getting very discouraged. Have you ever been discouraged with your Christianity as you strive to perfect yourself or to change yourself? IMPOSSIBLE!! It doesn't work. It is just religion and an empty, futile life.
Where is the GOOD NEWS? Where is the joy of the Lord? I was trying hard to please God, by being kind, forgiving, showing mercy, etc. But I was getting more and more frustrated. I soon found out that it wasn't TRUE CHRISTIANITY. The big piece of the puzzle that I found missing ,was that I didn't believe that the FATHER REALLY LOVED ME! I was trying to perform to win His approval, by reading my bible, doing devotions, and trying to change myself to be like Jesus, when all along the Father JUST LOVED me because I was His daughter. I will never forget the day when I heard in my spirit, "There is nothing I will not do for you, because you love my Son." Knowing the Father's love has changed my life as a believer.
Today, I am so grateful to be delivered from a religious spirit( false Christianity) of striving, trying, and working so hard to please God, when all along my Father is most pleased with JUST my faith in the finished work of His Son Jesus. I am so happy NOT to be striving as a Christian. I AM A CHRISTIAN, because I believe the simple gospel. I am a sinner. Jesus died for my sins, rose again, I repented and He breathed His resurrected life back into me. God now declares me righteous in His Son, Jesus. Christ lives in me and I live in Him. Jesus Christ is truly the ABUNDANT LIFE.
What has made the Christian life possible is the imputation of the Holy Spirit and faith in the finished work of Christ that He accomplished on our behalf. Without the Holy Spirit and faith it is just IMPOSSIBLE, (Hebrew 11:6) to live the Christian life. Don't try. You will only get discouraged and fail. I did. Together, let us take a deep breath, relax and be grateful for our Father's love in His Son and enjoy Him forever. AMEN

Why the Delays?
Have you ever felt like you have been waiting on the Lord to answer prayer and wondered why He is taking so long? Maybe you have been waiting for a loved ones salvation. Perhaps you are impatient for a healing or in a panic for the finances for your next mortgage payment. Waiting on the Lord to move is something that we don't always fully understand. He may delay, but we DO KNOW that He will always answer our prayers, even if we don't like the answer. A powerful story and one of my favorites is where Jesus proclaims that ,"I AM THE THE RESURRECTION AND THE LIFE. WHOSOEVER BELIEVES IN ME,THOUGH HE DIE, YET SHALL HE LIVE, AND EVERYONE WHO LIVES AND BELIEVES IN ME SHALL NEVER DIE. DO YOU BELIEVE THIS? He was about to reveal to his friends and disciples the power of the resurrection in Himself by raising Lazarus.
I have asked myself many times, why did Jesus delay in coming? He certainly loved Mary, Martha and their brother Lazarus. Even His tears gave away His love for them. Yet He delayed and they didn't understand why? I have thought many times in my own life, how Jesus must weep, when He has to delay in answering a prayer. I think that it is so important that we realize that He has His reasons. I am finding that the reason usually is that I might know Him more and more in who He is.
For instance, Mary and Martha loved the Lord. They believed that He could have healed Lazarus, if He had come in time. They had seen and heard that He had healed many people. But, did they really know Him as their HEALER, or just that He could heal? Was their hope only in what He COULD DO and not in WHO He was? Now they would come to see and know Him as the RESURRECTION AND THE LIFE, not just one who could raise the dead.
This story and how God intentionally delayed in order to reveal WHO HE WAS has helped me to be more grateful for God's delays in my life. When my husband was out of work, His delay revealed that He alone was our PROVIDER, and not just provision. When I needed physical or emotional healing Jesus was the HEALER, by many means of grace. When I was DEAD in my trespasses and sin, Jesus spoke RESURRECTION LIFE to my spirit and I was born again and fulled with the Holy Spirit.
Before we are born again, we all are the WALKING DEAD. Our spirit is separated from God and we are spiritually dead, until Jesus speaks to our spirit and says," LIVE", and then the miracle happens. Our spiritual eyes are opened and we come alive in Christ. We are now spiritually alive in Jesus Christ and we no longer desire our old smelly, rotten grave cloths, (our flesh). God has made us the RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD IN CHRIST JESUS and we no longer smell. If there is any smell around, it is only our grave cloths and we no longer live in them.
The more we see Jesus high and lifted up, the more we are changed into His image and likeness. It is His life in us that overcomes this world, our flesh and the devil. We will have trials and tribulations, to prefect our faith, (James 1), but praise be to God, Jesus has overcome this world. "This is the victory that has overcome the world--OUR FAITH. Who is it that overcomes the world except the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God." (1 John 5:4)
His delays are worth waiting for. I have never been disappointed, but only able to see Jesus more and more in His resurrected power, able to work out any situation or circumstance for His glory. God is good all the time.

Did Jesus suffer in Vain?
When Adam rebelled in the Garden, there were consequences as a result of his disobedience for all mankind. Sin, sickness and disease entered the human race and we all are subject to the consequences of Adams sin. The Tree of Life, (eternal life) was taken from man and the Tree of Knowledge of good and Evil became his fruit. Sin reigned and sin MUST be punishment by death. "The wages of sin is death", Romans 6:23.
It is believed that Jesus was scourged, or flogged, thirty-nine times (Matthew 27:26). Under Jewish punishment, a prisoner could be given forty lashes; however, they usually only received thirty-nine, because forty was often fatal. (Deuteronomy 25:3)
Recently, I read that the thirty-nine lashes represent all the diseases known to mankind. At first, I found that hard to believe but later I was told that medically, it referred to 39 categories of sicknesses and diseases. Every time they laid the whip on Jesus' back--spitting His skin and ripping His muscles and tissue--HEALING was provided for every disease. Aids, cancer, diabetes, muscular dystrophy, parkinsons, and every disease on this earth has been defeated and conquered by the blood of Jesus Christ. This shows God's willingness to heal everyone.
Some people say, "God doesn't heal anymore." But the Bible tells us "Jesus is the SAME yesterday, today and forever." (Hebrews 13:8) Because He made a blood covenant, He doesn't change, and the blood covenant includes healing. Salvation doesn't just mean to be forgiven; it also means to be made WHOLE in every way, body, soul and spirit.
The topic of healing can provoke many doubts. Even Jesus could not heal in His own hometown because of their UNBELIEF, but it didn't mean that he wasn't willing. Remember the man with leprosy and how he begged on his knees, asking,"If you ARE willing, you can make me clean." Filled with compassion, Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man. "I AM WILLING" he said "BE CLEAN' Mark 1:40-41.
I have to admit, I have been greatly challenged in this area myself and have come to the conclusion that healing is for today. Why do we have doctors and physiologist, etc, if God intended His children to remain sick? I have also asked myself these questions, "Why do we raise money to find cures for diseases, and where do I think all the intelligence for learning and information about medicines comes from, if it wasn't from the mind of the ONE who created man and knows him so well? Does God really need doctors, physiologists, medicine and education to heal His creation? I don't believe He does, but out of His great mercy and kindness, He will extend His healing love to us, even in our unbelief.
Jesus is the healer and by His stripes we are healed. He is a good God, and loving Father. Jesus said in Matthew 7:11, "If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much MORE will your Father, who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!"
Psalm 107:20 says," He sent His word and healed them and delivered them from their destruction." Jesus is the WORD made flesh and is the same yesterday, today and forever. Sin, sickness and disease may invade our bodies, but it doesn't have to remain.
For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world--our FAITH.
Who is it that overcomes the world except the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?( 1John 5:4) It doesn't mean that we won't get sick, but when we do, to mediate on the truth that Jesus took the consequences of Adam's sin on Himself and gave us His healthy body in exchange. By faith, we are healed in His time and for His glory.
